Late Wolfsburg Strike Secures Draw Against Juventus in Champions League Opener
WOLFSBURG, Germany (Interstat) — VfL Wolfsburg and Juventus FC opened their UEFA Women’s Champions League campaigns with a 2-2 draw on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026, after a dramatic stoppage-time equalizer at AOK Stadion.
Juventus substitute Ana Capeta opened the scoring in the sixth minute. Wolfsburg’s Amalie Vangsgaard, also a substitute, leveled in the 61st. The match appeared destined for a Juventus victory until Wolfsburg defender Sarai Linder scored in the fifth minute of added time to salvage the draw. The result defied pregame projections that heavily favored a Wolfsburg win.
Five yellow cards were issued in a physical second half. Both clubs now hold identical records across all competitions this season.
