CANCÚN, Mexico (Interstat) — Cancun and CA La Paz played to a 1-1 draw in a Liga de Expansión MX match Saturday at Estadio Olímpico Andrés Quintana Roo.
José Rodríguez opened the scoring for the hosts in the 19th minute. Daniel Álvarez, a substitute for CA La Paz, leveled the match just before halftime in first-half stoppage time. The game deteriorated into a chippy affair in the second half, featuring five yellow cards. It culminated in two red cards shown in the final 10 minutes, with CA La Paz’s Horacio Torres ejected in the 84th minute and Yahir Del Aguila following in the 88th.
