BRUSSELS (Interstat) — Anderlecht delivered a commanding performance Saturday, routing Sporting Oud-Heverlee 5-1 in a First Division A match at Lotto Park. The home side overwhelmed the visitors early, with Óscar Gil opening the scoring in the seventh minute. Ewoud Pletinckx and Thorgan Hazard added first-half goals for a 3-0 lead. Mihajlo Cvetković scored in the 52nd minute, and Adriano Bertaccini sealed the result in stoppage time. The lopsided win defied a pregame statistical projection of a draw, though a separate forecast heavily favored Anderlecht. The result improved Anderlecht’s league record to 12 wins, eight losses and six draws, while Sporting Oud-Heverlee fell to 7-10-7. Eight yellow cards were issued in the contest.
