RATCHABURI, Thailand (Interstat) — Ratchaburi and Buriram United played to a 2-2 draw in Thai League 1 action Saturday at Dragon Solar Park Stadium.

The match defied a pregame projection that heavily favored the home side. Substitute Bissoli opened the scoring for Buriram in the eighth minute, but Ratchaburi’s Gleyson equalized in the 21st. Narubadin Weerawatnodom, another Buriram substitute, put the visitors ahead again just before halftime, converting an assist from Thanawat Suengchitthawon.

Ratchaburi defender Jesse Curran provided the dramatic finale, scoring in the 88th minute off a pass from Denílson Júnior to salvage the draw. The frantic match included four yellow cards, issued to Supachai Chaided, Thanawat Suengchitthawon, Narubadin and Denílson.

Both clubs opened their league seasons with a draw.
