LAMPHUN, Thailand (Interstat) — Lamphun Warriors opened its Thai League 1 season with a commanding 3-0 victory over Sukhothai on Sunday at Lamphun Warriors Stadium.

The hosts scored twice in two minutes early in the second half to break open the match. Forward Willen opened the scoring in the 58th minute, followed immediately by a goal from midfielder Mohammed Osman in the 60th. Defender Suriya Singmui added a third in the 78th minute.

All three goals were assisted by second-half substitutes, with Cláudio Rafael, Surawich Lokavit and Baggio Rakotonomenjanahary each recording one. The match featured four yellow cards, all shown to substitutes. The result defied a pregame statistical projection of a 1-1 draw, as Lamphun began its campaign with a win while Sukhothai started with a loss.
