AL-MUHARRAQ, Bahrain (Interstat) — Yaya Ousman’s 39th-minute goal lifted Sitra to a 1-0 victory over Bahrain SC in a Bahrain Premier League match Thursday at Sheikh Ali bin Mohammed Stadium.

The visiting side’s lone score proved sufficient against a struggling Bahrain SC attack. The result defied a pregame projection from Interstat, whose simulator had forecast a 2-1 home win despite also giving Sitra a 70% probability to win.

Sitra improved its league record to 3-3-4 with the road victory. Bahrain SC’s difficult season continued, falling to 1-9-2. The teams last met in September, when Sitra won 4-1.
