MANAMA, Bahrain (Interstat) — A late strike from Juninho Piauiense delivered a 1-0 victory for Muharraq over Al Ahli in a Bahrain Premier League match Thursday at Madinat ’Isa Stadium.

The decisive moment came in the 81st minute when Juninho found the net, breaking a deadlock in a match where Muharraq solidified its strong league standing. The visiting side controlled much of the play, confirming its form as a top contender this season.

The result extends Al Ahli’s struggles, leaving the home side searching for answers after another narrow defeat. The outcome defied a pregame statistical projection that had forecast a draw, instead fulfilling the high probability given to a Muharraq win.
