AL-MUHARRAQ, Bahrain (Dec. 19, 2025) (Interstat) — Muharraq opened its Bahrain Premier League season with a 1-0 victory over Budaiya on Friday at Sheikh Ali bin Mohammed Stadium.

The lone goal came in the 64th minute from Husain Abdulkarim, who scored from the right side to break a scoreless deadlock. The win came despite pre-match projections from Interstat, whose game simulator had forecast a 2-1 Muharraq victory and whose ELO system gave the visitors an 87.1% probability to win.

The result gives Muharraq a winning start in league play, moving to 1-0, while Budaiya begins its campaign 0-1. Both clubs see their overall season records mirror those league marks.
