DOHA, Qatar (Interstat) — Al Wakrah delivered a stunning 4-1 victory over Qatar SC on Friday in the Stars League opener at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium, defying pregame projections.

Substitute Yusuf Abdurisag scored twice in the fifth minute, setting a dominant tone. Aïssa Laïdouni and Ahmed Al Rawi added goals for Al Wakrah, with Presnel Kimpembe recording two assists. Redouane Berkane netted the lone goal for the hosts.

The result was an upset, as statistical models heavily favored Qatar SC. Both teams opened their league campaigns with the lopsided result.
