AL KHOR, Qatar (Feb. 20, 2026) (Interstat) — Qatar SC opened its Stars League season with a 4-3 comeback victory over Al Shahaniya on Friday at Al Khor Stadium, overcoming a halftime deficit with a rapid second-half surge.

Al Shahaniya led 2-1 after first-half goals from Abdoulaye Traoré and Lotfi Madjer, with Naif Al Hadhrami answering for Qatar SC. The match turned dramatically after the break, as Qatar SC substitutes Ahmed Al Rawi and Faïz Selemani scored two minutes apart in the 67th and 69th minutes to seize the lead.

Al Shahaniya defender Mohamed Sayyar equalized in the 82nd minute, but Qatar SC substitute João Pedro netted the decisive goal in the 90th minute. The result defied pre-game projections that heavily favored the home side. Five yellow cards were issued in the match.
