DOHA, Qatar (Feb. 6, 2026) (Interstat) — Al Rayyan and Qatar SC opened their Stars League seasons with a 3-3 draw Friday at Suheim bin Hamad Stadium.

The match defied a pregame projection that favored Al Rayyan. Roger Guedes opened the scoring for the visitors in the 21st minute, but Qatar SC’s Ali Saoudi equalized three minutes later. Al Rayyan’s João Pedro scored just before halftime.

Qatar SC’s Sebastián Soria struck in the 88th minute to level at 2-2, but Al Rayyan’s Aleksandar Mitrović headed in a goal in stoppage time. Qatar SC answered moments later with a final equalizer. The frantic finish followed Al Rayyan’s reduction to 10 men after Tintín Márquez received a red card in the 63rd minute.
