World Cup Preview: Brazil vs. Morocco
RIO DE JANEIRO (Interstat) — Brazil will face Morocco on Saturday, June 13, 2026, in a World Cup group stage match at a venue to be determined.
The teams enter the contest from contrasting defeats. Brazil lost 1-0 at Bolivia on Sept. 9, 2025, a surprising result for the five-time world champions. The Seleção’s most productive players in that match were goalkeeper Alisson Ramsés Becker, midfielder Lucas Tolentino Coelho de Lima and defender Caio Henrique Oliveira Silva, each playing 90 minutes.
Brazil’s form before that loss had been strong, including a 3-0 victory at Chile on Sept. 4, 2025, a 1-0 home win over Paraguay on June 10, 2025, and a scoreless draw at Ecuador on June 5, 2025. However, the team also suffered a 4-1 loss at Argentina on March 26, 2025. Overall, Brazil has posted six wins, three draws and three losses in its last 12 fixtures.
Morocco arrives after a 1-0 loss at Senegal on Jan. 18, 2026, which snapped a three-match unbeaten run. That streak included a 0-0 draw at Nigeria on Jan. 14, 2026, a 2-0 win at Cameroon on Jan. 9, 2026, and a 1-0 home victory over Tanzania on Jan. 4, 2026. Morocco’s earlier results featured a high-scoring 6-4 home win over Senegal on Aug. 26, 2025, and a 5-0 thrashing of Niger on Sept. 5, 2025.
Interstat’s game simulator projects a 1-1 draw.
Both teams will face Haiti and Scotland later in the group stage. Brazil plays Haiti on June 19, 2026, then Scotland on June 24. Morocco will travel to Scotland on June 19 and host Haiti on June 24.
