Taichung Rock vs Tatung
TAIPEI, Taiwan (Interstat) — A crucial late-season fixture in the Taiwan Football Premier League will see Taichung Rock host Tatung on Sunday, with both sides seeking momentum from a match projected to end in a stalemate.
The Interstat game simulator forecasts a 1-1 draw, a result that would mirror the teams’ last meeting—a 2-2 thriller on Sept. 21.
Sunday’s contest at Taichung Rock’s home ground pits two clubs arriving with contrasting recent forms. The hosts are buoyed by a 2-1 road victory over Kaohsiung County Taipower on Dec. 7. That win snapped a two-game winless streak for Taichung Rock, who had previously fallen 3-0 to Hang Yuan.
Tatung, meanwhile, is looking to rebound from a frustrating 2-2 draw with AC Taipei also on Dec. 7. That result halted a modest two-game winning streak for the visitors, who had secured convincing victories over Ming Chuan University (4-0) and Kaohsiung County Taipower (2-1) in November.
An examination of the full season, however, reveals Tatung’s struggles with consistency. The club suffered a heavy 5-0 defeat to TFAFuturo in October and a 2-1 loss to Hang Yuan in September, alongside their earlier draw with Taichung Rock.
Taichung Rock’s campaign has been marked by similar volatility. The team has shown resilience with come-from-behind draws but has also endured several shutout losses, including two against Taipower and one against TFAFuturo in August.
The head-to-head history and statistical projection suggest a tightly contested midfield battle. Both teams have demonstrated offensive capability but have also shown defensive vulnerability throughout the season.
A win for either side would provide a significant boost ahead of the final stretch. Following this match, Taichung Rock will host Tainan City on Dec. 21, while Tatung will welcome Hang Yuan the same day.
Kickoff is scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 14, 2025. The match will be organized and overseen by the Taiwan Football Premier League.
