Hurricanes vs Shamrock

ST. GEORGE’S, Grenada (Interstat) — The Hurricanes will host rival Shamrock on Sunday in a Premier Division match at National Stadium, looking to replicate their high-scoring victory from earlier this season.

The clubs last met on June 1, when the Hurricanes (8-6) powered past Shamrock (5-7-3) in a 4-2 road victory. Sunday’s match kicks off at 3 p.m. local time.

The Hurricanes enter the contest looking to rebound from a 1-0 road loss to Saint John’s on Oct. 18. Prior to that defeat, the club had found its offensive form, including a 4-2 win over SAB Spartans on Sept. 27. The Hurricanes have been strong at home this season, with recent victories over North Stars SC and SAB Spartans.

Shamrock, meanwhile, is coming off a 4-1 home win against North Stars SC on Oct. 26. The result snapped a two-game losing streak that included a 2-0 loss to QP Rangers on Sept. 28. Shamrock’s season has been marked by inconsistency, with a 2-2 draw against SAB Spartans on Sept. 6 highlighting its potential, but a series of narrow losses to clubs like St. David’s FC and Saint John’s revealing its struggles.

According to the Interstat game simulator, the Hurricanes are projected to extend their dominance in the head-to-head series with a 3-1 victory. The model favors the Hurricanes’ home-field advantage and offensive firepower over Shamrock’s erratic form.
