BAYRŪT, Lebanon (Jan. 18, 2026) (Interstat) — Ali El Fadl scored a dramatic stoppage-time goal to give Nejmeh SC a 1-0 victory over rival Al Ansar SC in a Lebanese Cup match Sunday at Camille Chamoun Sports City Stadium.

The match appeared destined for a scoreless draw until the third minute of added time, when El Fadl found the net with a right-footed finish. He received a yellow card a minute later. Nejmeh began its cup campaign with a win, while Al Ansar started with a loss. The result defied a pre-game projection from Interstat, which gave Nejmeh a 77.9% chance to win but simulated a more lopsided 3-0 scoreline.
