San Juan vs Guayama

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (Interstat) — Two Liga Puerto Rico sides mired in deep slumps will meet Sunday when San Juan hosts Guayama.

The matchup at San Juan’s home ground is a rematch of a Sept. 27 encounter, which Guayama won 2-1. That result stands as the lone victory for either club over the past two months.

Since that win, Guayama (1-9-1) has been in a tailspin, losing eight consecutive matches. That streak includes a 3-0 home defeat to Escuela de Futbol Taurinos de Cayey on Nov. 15 and a 10-1 road loss to Caguas Sporting on Oct. 19. The club has been outscored 42-5 during its eight-game losing streak.

San Juan (0-9-1) has fared no better, losing nine straight. Its most recent outing was an 8-1 home loss to Acad Quintana on Nov. 8. Defensive frailties have plagued the club, which conceded 11 goals in a loss to Metropolitan on Nov. 1.

Despite Guayama’s historic struggles, Interstat’s game simulator projects a 4-2 road victory for the visitors, suggesting a potential breakout from its offensive woes.

Kickoff is set for Sunday, Nov. 23, 2025.
