RODEZ, France (Jan. 16, 2026) (Interstat) — Rodez and Le Mans FC opened their Ligue 2 seasons with a 1-1 draw Friday at Stade Paul Lignon after a frantic four-minute scoring sequence late in the match.

Le Mans forward Ibrahima Baldé broke the stalemate in the 84th minute. But Rodez substitute Théo Eyoum answered just four minutes later, netting the equalizer in the 88th minute to salvage a point for the home side. Eyoum was set up by fellow substitute Nicolas Kocik, while Baldé’s goal was assisted by Taïryk Arconte.

The result defied pre-match projections that heavily favored Rodez. The match concluded with three yellow cards issued in stoppage time. Both clubs begin the campaign with identical records across all competitions.
