BUENOS AIRES (Interstat) — Lanus looks to continue its strong home form when it hosts a struggling Tigre side in a Primera Nacional match on Wednesday.

Lanus (8-4-3) is coming off a convincing 3-1 home victory over Atletico Tucuman on Nov. 14, part of a recent run of success at Estadio Ciudad de Lanús. The club has won four of its last five home matches, outscoring opponents 10-3 in that span.

Tigre (4-7-4), meanwhile, seeks to rebound from a 2-0 road loss to powerhouse Boca Juniors on Nov. 16. That defeat extended its winless streak to three matches. Tigre’s attack has stalled, managing just one goal in its last three outings and being shut out twice.

Despite the contrasting form, a statistical projection from Interstat forecasts a 2-1 victory for the visiting Tigre.

Historically, the matchup has been tight. In their last meeting, the teams played to a 1-1 draw. Lanus will rely on its home-pitch advantage, while Tigre hopes its defense, which has recorded two clean sheets in its last five games, can contain a potent Lanus attack.
