BELFAST, Northern Ireland (Interstat) — A pivotal Women’s Premiership League Cup group stage match is set for Tuesday as Glentoran BU W hosts a high-scoring Cliftonville W side at The Oval.

The visitors from Cliftonville enter the contest in formidable offensive form, coming off a 5-2 rout of Strabane Athletic on Nov. 5. That victory extended their winning streak to three matches in all competitions, having also defeated Coagh United FC 4-1 on Oct. 7 and Mitrovica W 3-1 on July 30. Their last defeat was a 2-1 loss to KSK Lanchkhuti W on Aug. 2.

Glentoran BU W will counter with confidence from its own recent run of results. The hosts are unbeaten in their last two outings, including a 2-1 victory over Crus Strikers W on Nov. 4 and a 1-0 win against Institute FC on Oct. 7.

According to the Interstat game simulator, the tightly contested match is projected to end in a 2-2 draw. The result could prove crucial for both teams’ aspirations of advancing to the knockout stages of the domestic cup competition.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7:45 p.m. local time.
