TA’QALI, Malta (Interstat) — Israel’s under-19 national team opened its UEFA European Championship qualification campaign with a 2-0 victory over Kazakhstan on Tuesday at MFA Centenary Stadium.

Goren Tamar opened the scoring in the ninth minute, followed by a goal from Maayan Ben Israel in the 25th minute. The Israeli side controlled the match, which saw Kazakhstan’s Ramina Omarova receive a yellow card in the 77th minute. With the win, Israel begins the competition with a perfect record, while Kazakhstan starts with a loss.
