CARTAGENA, Spain (Interstat) — Valencia’s youth side looks to build on an unbeaten run when it visits Cartagena U19 in the Copa del Rey Juvenil on Thursday.

The match at Cartagena’s training ground pits a Valencia team finding consistency against a disciplined Cartagena U19 side coming off a shutout victory. Valencia is unbeaten in its last three matches across all competitions, most recently drawing Rayo Vallecano 1-1 on Monday. Its form has improved since a 4-0 loss to Real Madrid on Nov. 1, having conceded just three goals in the subsequent four matches.

Cartagena U19 last played on Oct. 29, securing a 1-0 away win against AD San Fermin. The extended layoff could impact the team’s match sharpness.

Interstat’s game simulator projects a 1-1 draw.

Following this cup fixture, Valencia’s first team faces a demanding domestic schedule, visiting Sevilla on Sunday in La Liga play.
