ZARAGOZA, Spain (Interstat) — CD Ebro will host Osasuna in a Copa del Rey Juvenil fixture on Tuesday, looking to defy the youth academy of a top-flight club.

The match pits Ebro, a senior club from the lower tiers of Spanish football, against the under-19 team of La Liga side Osasuna. The visitors enter the knockout contest seeking a return to form after a series of inconsistent results.

Osasuna’s youth side is winless in its last three outings across all competitions, most recently drawing Mallorca 2-2 on Saturday. Their form has been uneven this season, with the team suffering several losses to fellow elite academies, including defeats to Real Sociedad, Sevilla and Atletico Madrid. Their campaign has been punctuated by a dominant 5-0 victory over PE Sant Jordi in late October, demonstrating their potential.

CD Ebro’s last recorded result was a 1-1 draw with SD Tarazona on Oct. 29. The simulator from Interstat projects a narrow 1-0 victory for the home side, a result that would constitute a significant cup upset.

Following Tuesday’s cup tie, Osasuna’s first-team schedule in La Liga resumes next week with a home match against Levante on Dec. 8, followed by a trip to face Barcelona on Dec. 13.
