LEÓN, Spain (Interstat) — Cultural Leonesa defeated FC Andorra 4-2 on Wednesday in the Copa del Rey Juvenil, overcoming a pregame projection that favored the visitors. The match at Estadio Municipal Reino de León saw the hosts secure a commanding victory.

Agustín Cacabelos opened the scoring for Cultural Leonesa in the 29th minute and later added an assist. Teammates Jastin García, Paco Cortés and Théo Le Normand also found the net, building a 4-0 lead. FC Andorra’s Quique Fornos and Lucas Ribeiro scored consolation goals in the 69th and 89th minutes, respectively.

The result defied a statistical forecast that had projected a 2-1 win for FC Andorra and gave Cultural Leonesa a victory to open its campaign in the Spanish youth competition.
