POTENZA, Italy (Interstat) — Sorrento and visiting Picerno played to a 1-1 draw in a Serie C match Saturday at Stadio Comunale Alfredo Viviani.

Picerno’s Emmanuele Esposito opened the scoring in the 60th minute. Sorrento’s Antonio Sabbatani secured the draw with a dramatic equalizer in the third minute of second-half stoppage time. The result matched the projection from Interstat’s game simulator, though its ELO system had favored Sorrento with a 69.90 percent win probability. Both clubs opened their Serie C campaigns with a draw and remain unbeaten early in the season.
