PAOLA, Malta (Interstat) — Mosta and Zabbar St. Patrick played to a 1-1 draw in a Malta Premier League match Friday at Tony Bezzina Stadium.

Jurgen Pisani gave the visiting Zabbar St. Patrick the lead in the 23rd minute. Mosta’s Simon Zibo equalized in the 51st minute. The result defied pre-match projections from Interstat, whose simulator had predicted a 2-1 Mosta victory and whose ELO system gave Zabbar St. Patrick a 73.5% probability to win.

Both clubs begin their league campaigns with a draw, moving to 0-0-1 records in the competition and across all contests this season.
