WOERDEN, Netherlands (Interstat) — Substitute Willem den Dekker scored in the 16th minute to lift De Treffers to a 1-0 victory over Sportlust ’46 in a KNVB Beker women’s match Thursday at Sportpark Cromwijck. The lone goal, assisted by defender Coen van der Hoek, held as the winner in a contest defined by physical play.

The match featured eight yellow cards, including two in second-half stoppage time just before a red card was issued to Sportlust ’46’s Nourdin Zoufri. The result defied pregame projections that heavily favored the home side. De Treffers improved its tournament record with the win, while Sportlust ’46 began its campaign with a narrow defeat.
