NEULENGBACH, Austria (Interstat) — Saint Polten W opened its Frauenliga season with a commanding 4-0 victory over Neulengbach W on Saturday at Wienerwaldstadion.

The visitors scored twice in quick succession just before halftime. Substitute Carina Brunold opened the scoring in the 38th minute, followed by Izabel Križaj’s goal a minute later. Second-half substitutes Victoria Laino (64th minute) and Ľudmila Maťavková (77th) completed the rout. Midfielders Juliana Siever and Emma Heiplik each provided an assist.

The result exceeded the projected 2-1 victory for Saint Polten W, which entered with a high probability to win according to statistical models. Both teams began their league campaigns, with Saint Polten at 1-0 and Neulengbach at 0-1.
