CHERNIHIV, Ukraine (March 29, 2026) (Interstat) — Chernihiv opened its Persha Liga campaign with a stunning 4-0 victory over FK Livyi Bereh at Chernihiv Arena on Sunday, defying pre-match projections.

Maksym Serdyuk opened the scoring in the 7th minute. Andrii Novikov added a goal just before halftime in the 45+3rd minute, and Denys Bezborodko scored another immediately after the restart in the 46th minute to secure a commanding lead. The dominant win contrasted sharply with pre-game analytics, as Interstat’s simulator had projected a 2-0 win for Livyi Bereh, which was given a 54.7% probability to win.

The result gives Chernihiv a winning start in league play, while Livyi Bereh begins its season with a defeat.
