Barracas Central vs Huracan

BUENOS AIRES (Interstat) — Barracas Central, projected as a heavy favorite, will host Huracan on Monday in a Primera Nacional fixture as the Argentine second division season continues.

The matchup at Barracas Central’s home ground pits two sides with contrasting fortunes in league play. Huracan enters with a 7-6-6 record in the Primera Nacional, sitting mid-table. Barracas Central, despite a less impressive 3-3-7 league record, is buoyed by a stronger overall campaign across all competitions at 13-10-9.

Statistical models heavily favor the home side. Interstat’s game simulator projects a 2-1 victory for Barracas Central, while its ELO rating system gives them an 84.80 percent probability to win.

Huracan looks to rebound from a 2-0 home loss to Newell’s Old Boys on Nov. 8. Their form has been inconsistent, with just one win in their last five matches across all competitions — a 3-1 victory over Defensa y Justicia on Nov. 3.

Barracas Central is coming off a 0-0 draw with Union on Nov. 8. Their recent results have been a mixed bag, including a 2-0 win over Argentinos Juniors on Nov. 1 but a 3-1 loss to Boca Juniors on Oct. 27. They have struggled to find consistent offense, registering four scoreless draws in their last ten outings.

Kickoff is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 17, 2025.
