BUCHAREST, Romania (Interstat) — A spot in the next round of the Cupa României is on the line Tuesday when FC Arges hosts Rapid Bucharest in a domestic cup clash.

The match at the Stadionul Arges in Pitesti pits a surging Arges squad against a Rapid team fresh off a dominant victory. Arges enters the contest on a three-match winning streak across all competitions, most recently edging Metaloglobus 3-2 on Oct. 29. Their form includes two 1-0 victories over Agricola Borcea in late August.

Rapid, however, will be brimming with confidence after a decisive 4-0 road win against Dumbravita on Oct. 30. The visiting side will look to carry that offensive momentum into the cup tie.

According to the Interstat game simulator, the match is projected to be a tightly contested affair, with a narrow 1-0 victory for the home side.

The winner of Tuesday’s fixture will advance to a Round of 16 match on Feb. 11, 2026. Arges would travel to face Dumbravita, while Rapid would face a difficult away test at FC CFR 1907 Cluj.
