PAU, France (Interstat) — Pau and Rodez played to a frenetic 3-3 draw in a Ligue 2 match Saturday at Stade Nouste Camp. The result defied a pregame projection that favored Pau and forecast a lower score.

Rodez substitute Samy Benchamma opened the scoring in the 5th minute, but Pau’s Antonin Bobichon answered with two first-half goals, including one just two minutes after Rodez’s Ibrahima Baldé had briefly restored the visitor’s lead. Giovani Versini brought Rodez level again in the 59th minute before Pau substitute Clément Jolibois netted the final equalizer in the 86th minute. The match featured five yellow cards. Both clubs moved to 0-0-1 records in league play.
