STUTTGART, Germany (Interstat) — Bayern Munich opened its Bundesliga season with a commanding 5-0 victory over Stuttgart on Saturday at MHPArena.

The visitors controlled the match from the start, with Konrad Laimer scoring in the 11th minute. Harry Kane added a second-half brace, with goals in the 66th and 88th minutes. Josip Stanišić also scored in the 78th minute for Bayern, whose fifth goal was not detailed in the provided information.

The match was physical, featuring seven yellow cards. Stuttgart’s frustration culminated in an 81st-minute red card shown to Lorenz Assignon. The lopsided result defied a pregame projection that forecast a closer 2-1 Bayern win.

Bayern Munich begins the campaign with a win, while Stuttgart starts with a loss in both Bundesliga and overall competition play.
