Preview: Bidco Utd Hosts Struggling Sofapaka in FKF Premier League Clash

NAIROBI, Kenya (Interstat) — Bidco United will host Sofapaka on Friday in an FKF Premier League match featuring two sides desperate to turn recent draws into a winning result.

The matchup at Bidco’s home ground comes after the two teams played to a 1-1 stalemate in early January. According to Interstat’s game simulator, another 1-1 draw is the projected outcome for Friday’s contest.

Both teams enter the fixture on the back of extended winless streaks in league play, making the three points crucial for momentum.

Sofapaka (0-7-3 in last 10 games) is mired in a severe slump, having not won a match since a scoreless draw with Kariobangi Sharks on Dec. 22, 2025. Their last outing was a 2-1 loss to Kakamega Homeboyz on March 2. The team has been shut out in six of its last ten matches and has conceded multiple goals in five of those games, highlighting defensive struggles.

Bidco United (1-5-4 in last 10 games) has found points slightly easier to come by but has consistently struggled to secure victories. Their last match was a 1-1 draw with Nairobi United FC on March 4. Their lone win in the last ten attempts was a 1-0 victory over Nairobi City Stars on Jan. 24. Defensive consistency has also been an issue, with the team allowing two or more goals in half of those contests.

The historical data suggests a tight, low-scoring affair. Five of Sofapaka’s last ten games have ended 1-0 or 2-0 against them, while Bidco has seen four of its last ten finishes feature two or fewer total goals.

For Sofapaka, the match is the first of a quick two-game stretch, hosting Nairobi United on Saturday before traveling to face Ulinzi Stars next Tuesday. Bidco United faces a similarly congested schedule, traveling to play AP’s Bomet FC on Saturday and Bandari FC next Wednesday.
