SUWON, South Korea (Interstat) — Substitute Reis scored in the 50th minute to deliver Gwangju a 1-0 upset victory over Suwon in a K League 1 match Sunday at Suwon World Cup Stadium. Reis finished from close range after a buildup assisted by fellow substitutes Roh Heedong and Park Inhyeok. The result defied pregame projections that heavily favored Suwon to win. Gwangju begins its season with a victory, while Suwon starts with a loss.
