Iberia 2010 vs SK Dila Gori
Preview: Iberia 2010 Hosts SK Dila Gori in David Kipiani Cup Match
TBILISI, Georgia (Interstat) — A surging SK Dila Gori side will look to extend its unbeaten run when it visits Iberia 2010 in a David Kipiani Cup match on Wednesday.
The cup fixture, organized by Georgia’s domestic football federation, pits a top-flight contender against a lower-division opponent at Iberia 2010’s home ground.
The visitors from Gori enter in strong form. SK Dila Gori is unbeaten in its last seven matches across all competitions, a streak that includes six wins. The run was extended with a 2-2 draw against league powerhouse Dinamo Tbilisi this past Saturday. In that stretch, the club has outscored opponents 16-5.
Key results during this period include a 4-1 road victory at Kolkheti Poti on Nov. 30 and a 2-1 win at Dinamo Batumi on Nov. 21. The club’s last defeat was a 2-1 loss to FC Iberia Tbilisi, a different entity from Wednesday’s opponent, on Oct. 26.
Iberia 2010, meanwhile, has not played a competitive match in nearly four months. Its most recent outing was a 2-1 home victory over Torpedo Kutaisi on Aug. 13. Before that, the club drew 2-2 with Rustavi on July 27 and lost 2-1 at Zana Abasha on May 11.
The extended layoff presents a significant challenge for the home side against a club in regular rhythm. According to Interstat’s game simulator, the match is projected to finish with a 1-0 victory for the visiting SK Dila Gori.
Kickoff is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2025. The David Kipiani Cup is named for the late Georgian football legend and former Dinamo Tbilisi captain.
