CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (Interstat) — The Virginia men’s soccer team stayed undefeated Sunday, defeating rival North Carolina 2-1 in an NCAA match. Nicholas Simmonds led the Cavaliers with a goal and an assist before being substituted at halftime. Triton Beauvois scored the other goal for Virginia, which improved to 5-0-2. The Tar Heels fell to 6-4-1. The teams played to a scoreless draw in their previous meeting on Sept. 27.
