BEAUMONT, Texas (Interstat) — Houston Christian defeated Northwestern State 2-1 on Thursday to win the NCAA women’s Southland Conference championship. The Huskies avenged a regular-season loss to the Demons from September.

Kendall Hemperley scored for Northwestern State, with an assist from Emily Senatore. The game, part of the 2025 WSO Southland Championship, was attended by 417 fans.

Houston Christian improved to 11-7-2 overall. Northwestern State fell to 12-5-2.
