SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (Interstat) — A matchup of Liga Puerto Rico’s top and bottom teams is set for Saturday as first-place Acad Quintana visits last-place San Juan.

The game pits two clubs on opposite trajectories. Acad Quintana enters with a 7-2-3 record, sitting near the summit of the league table. San Juan, meanwhile, has struggled to a 1-8-3 record in league play, with both clubs’ overall season records mirroring their league form.

The visiting side is in formidable scoring form, coming off a 3-1 victory over Escuela de Futbol Taurinos de Cayey on Wednesday and a staggering 9-1 rout of DS Edusoccer last Sunday. Their offense has been explosive, including a 16-1 win over Mayaguez in October.

San Juan’s defense will face a stern test, having conceded 11 goals in a loss to Metropolitan just last weekend and five more in a defeat to Caguas Sporting on Tuesday. Their season has been marred by heavy defeats, including 7-0 and 6-1 losses.

The teams last met on Sept. 13, with Acad Quintana securing a 3-2 victory in a tightly contested match. Interstat’s game simulator projects a more lopsided affair this time, forecasting a 4-1 win for the visitors.

Kickoff is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025.
