SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (Interstat) — Two of the Liga Puerto Rico’s most struggling sides will meet Saturday when DS Edusoccer hosts Guayama.

The matchup at a venue to be announced pits teams with a combined three wins this season. DS Edusoccer sits 10th in the table with a 2-9-0 league record. Guayama is just below in 11th place at 1-10-1.

Both teams are reeling from heavy defeats in their last outings. On Wednesday, Guayama fell 4-1 to Ponce FC. Last Sunday, DS Edusoccer was routed 9-1 by Acad Quintana.

Defense has been a persistent issue. Guayama has been outscored 58-9 in league play, while DS Edusoccer has conceded 41 goals.

The teams last met on Sept. 13, with DS Edusoccer securing a 2-0 road victory. Guayama’s lone win this season was a 2-1 result against San Juan on Sept. 27.

Despite the lopsided records, Interstat’s game simulator projects a high-scoring affair, forecasting a 4-2 victory for the visiting Guayama side.
