MELBOURNE, Australia (Interstat) — Central Coast Mariners will host Melbourne City in an A-League Men fixture on Saturday, looking to rebound from a high-scoring defeat.

The Mariners (3-3-1) are returning home after a 3-2 road loss to Western Sydney Wanderers last Saturday. Their form has been inconsistent, with a 1-0 win at Perth Glory on Nov. 7 preceded by a 1-1 draw with Kampong Speu Province and a 2-0 loss to Sydney FC.

Melbourne City (2-2-2) arrives after a crushing 4-1 defeat at Adelaide United last Friday. The loss snapped a two-match unbeaten streak that included a 2-0 win over rivals Melbourne Victory and a scoreless draw with Brisbane Roar.

According to Interstat’s game simulator, the Mariners are projected to win 3-1. The match will be the first of a 10-game stretch for both clubs leading into the new year. Melbourne City’s next match is at Newcastle Jets on Dec. 6, while the Mariners will host Sydney FC the same day.

Kickoff from Central Coast Stadium is set for 7:45 p.m. local time.
