FORT WORTH, Texas (Interstat) — The Kansas Jayhawks defeated the Colorado Buffaloes 2-1 in an NCAA women’s soccer match Wednesday at Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium. Defender Faith Leyba scored the lone goal for Colorado, assisted by forward Emerson Layne and defender Ava Priest. The game was a reversal of the teams’ previous meeting on Oct. 30, which Colorado won 2-1. An announced crowd of 848 attended the neutral-site contest. Kansas improved to 13-4-3 overall while Colorado moved to 12-2-3.
