MILWAUKEE (Interstat) — The Green Bay Phoenix defeated the Northern Kentucky Norse 2-1 on Thursday to win the 2025 Horizon League Women’s Soccer Championship. In a match played before an attendance of 414, Green Bay avenged a regular-season loss to Northern Kentucky from September.

Northern Kentucky’s Erykah Cornett scored a goal, assisted by defenders Sophia Kapszukiewicz and Lilly Yordy. The victory improved Green Bay’s NCAA record to 6-6-3, while Northern Kentucky, which was a heavy favorite to win according to pre-game projections, fell to 8-2-2.
