ST. LOUIS (Interstat) — The Rhode Island Rams avenged an earlier loss by defeating the Saint Louis Billikens 4-2 in an NCAA women’s soccer match Wednesday night at Robert R. Hermann Stadium. In a reversal of their Oct. 19 meeting, which Saint Louis won 4-1, the Rams’ offense proved too much for the Billikens. The result defied projections, as statistical models heavily favored Saint Louis to win. The Billikens’ Julia Simon and Hannah Larson each contributed a goal and an assist in the losing effort before being substituted. Attendance was 705. Both teams are now 9-3 overall this season.
