SAN DIEGO (Interstat) — Mia Hambro Svendsen scored the game’s only goal Sunday to lead the San Diego State Aztecs to a 1-0 victory over the Colorado State Rams in an NCAA women’s soccer match. The defender found the net, assisted by midfielder Charlie Gerson, in front of 396 fans. The result handed the Rams their first loss in four matches, while the Aztecs improved their record. The outcome defied a national statistical projection that had favored Colorado State to win.
