BOISE, Idaho (Interstat) — Kunie Hirai scored the decisive goal Sunday to lift Utah State to a 1-0 victory over New Mexico in the NCAA Women’s Mountain West Championship final. The Aggies (9-3-7) captured the conference title before an announced crowd of 402 as their defense held the Lobos (7-3-5) scoreless. The result avenged a scoreless draw between the teams in the regular season.
