Belgium U19 Substitutes Power 5‑0 Rout of Faroe Islands in UEFA Qualifier

DUISBURG, Germany (Interstat) — Belgium’s under-19 women’s football team routed the Faroe Islands 5-0 on Tuesday in UEFA Championship qualifying, with all goals coming from second-half substitutes.

Manon Baert and Jolien Verhoeven scored first-half goals. The bench then took over, with Chionne Bonny, Kadhiya De Ceuster and Fleur Heyman adding goals after the break. Bonny and De Ceuster each had a goal and an assist in the match at Sportschule Wedau.

The victory improved Belgium’s qualification record to one win, one draw and one loss. The Faroe Islands fell to 0-3 in the group. The result surpassed the Interstat game simulator’s projection of a 4-1 Belgium win. Belgium had been given a 54.9% win probability by the same service’s ELO system.
