KUOPIO, Finland (Interstat) — Kuopion Elo FC and IF Gnistan played to a 1-1 draw in a Veikkausliiga match Thursday at Väre Areena.

Otto Ruoppi opened the scoring for the hosts in the 44th minute. Substitute Roman Eremenko equalized for the visiting Gnistan late in the second half. Both assists came from Kuopion Elo FC players, with Ibrahim Cissé setting up Ruoppi and Oludare Olufunwa providing the helper on Eremenko’s leveling goal.

The result leaves Kuopion Elo FC with a strong league record of four wins, one loss and one draw. IF Gnistan’s struggles continue as they now sit at one win, six losses and one draw in Veikkausliiga play.
