SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (Interstat) — A matchup of Liga Puerto Rico’s top and bottom teams will take place Saturday when the undefeated Metropolitan visits struggling San Juan.

Metropolitan (9-0-0) enters the contest with a perfect record in league play, having outscored opponents 39-3 this season. The club is coming off a 5-2 victory over DS Edusoccer on Oct. 18. Their dominant campaign includes lopsided wins such as an 8-0 rout of Guayama and a 6-0 victory over DS Edusoccer in August.

Conversely, San Juan (1-8-1) has found victories scarce, managing only one win and one draw while being outscored 31-14. The team is reeling from a 7-0 home defeat to Ponce FC in its last outing on Oct. 18. Their lone bright spot was a 3-2 victory over Escuela de Futbol Taurinos de Cayey on Aug. 27.

According to Interstat’s game simulator, the lopsided trend is expected to continue with a projected final score of Metropolitan 4, San Juan 0.

Kickoff is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025.
