GABES, Tunisia (Interstat) — Stade Gabesien and Soliman played to a 1-1 draw in a Tunisian Ligue 1 match Saturday at Stade de Zrig. The result defied the pregame projections that heavily favored the home side. Ghislain Ahoudo opened the scoring for Stade Gabesien in the 27th minute, but Soliman’s Jack Diarra equalized just before halftime in the 47th. The match was a physical affair, featuring eight yellow cards and a 17th-minute red card issued to Soliman substitute Jasser Khmiri. Both teams remain unbeaten with a draw in their season opener.
