HONIARA, Solomon Islands (Interstat) — A clash of S-League titans is set for Friday as first-place Central Coast hosts the undefeated Malaita Kingz in a match that could decide the Solomon Islands football championship.

The showdown pits the league’s two best teams against one another. Central Coast (15-2-4) sits atop the table, but the Malaita Kingz (14-0-7) remain the only unbeaten side in the competition this season.

The Kingz, however, are looking to rebound from a 3-3 draw with Southern United in their last outing on Oct. 17, a result that snapped a string of victories. Their historic undefeated run across all competitions will be tested by a formidable Central Coast squad coming off an emphatic 18-0 rout of FC Juniper Tree on Tuesday.

Recent history favors the visitors. The two sides have met twice this season, with Malaita Kingz securing 1-0 victories in both matches played on June 8.

According to Interstat’s game simulator, Central Coast is projected to break that streak with a 3-0 victory. The match is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 31, 2025.
